Can anyone from Faithlife comment on whether these changes will be deemed as an update to the existing purchase or whether they'll be deemed as a new book?
Lifeway state the following and given they call it a revision to the text, I'm hoping existing CSB purchases will be updated.
The CSB translation committee has made several improvements to the 2017 edition of the CSB. The adjustments are neither radical nor extensive because we are happy with the work that was carried out beforehand. Further, we do not intend to regularly update the text with minor revisions such as this.Still, good translation procedure requires any translation committee to be open to make changes as necessary. Many readers have pointed out places where an adjustment would help with consistency in grammar, style, and punctuation, and so we have tweaked certain passages.

Great news! Thanks.

Does that mean that we will only have one resource that just gets "updated"?.
I guess it will be something like the NLT, with additional copy-right dates :

Changes are noted here
That is not a complete list as these statements are in the list:
"We also made a number of adjustments in the Old Testament, and here are some of the most notable."
"The following passages might be noticed by the discerning reader:"
"We list some examples below."
One of the changes made is:
• Changed “idols” to “worthless idols” to more accurately convey the meaning of the Hebrew word ’aliyl (e.g., Is 2:8,18,20; about 15x).
That may "more accurately convey the meaning of the Hebrew word" but in English that may imply that there are some worthwhile idols. [the current reading condemns all idols]
[[Having reviewed the list they seem to be mostly reasonable changes.]]

Yes.
David Ames:if so means that we can not review the changes to the text
Correct.

Just officially confirming that JT is correct.

Does anyone know when these changes will be released by LifeWay? By Logos?

FL rarely gives timelines on these sort of things. I <think> the changes are official now, but will obviously take time to be pushed to print and web. As for timing with Logos: At some point the publisher will give the updated files to FL. They will then have to make the necessary changes to the resource files. I would assume that the updates will occur this year, but perhaps not.

Oh, dear. I hope it wouldn't take longer than a couple or few weeks. I know FL has a lot of stuff to be doing, but these are minor revisions to a major translation. (And these are officially published, as far as I can tell. The CSB online version has already been updated accordingly.) Taking that long to incorporate these revisions would really make having the module in Logos somewhat pointless. One of the blessings on electronic Bible software is the ability to receive updates faster than, or even before than, print editions.

And I doubt most people are rushing out to change their print versions so I would hardly say it makes the module pointless. :)
Any word or update on this? I noticed that Accordance has already updated their CSB module. Just curious.
As I mentioned before, FL rarely comments on these questions. I concur with David: It isn't as simple as you might think. If the goal was simply to update the text, they could push out a copy without the added features (i.e. RI's)... but that would not make people happy.
Accordance announced last week that they have updated the CSB to the 2020 version

Hi all,
Just want to pop in and let you know that we're looking at a late April release of the revised text.
We're definitely working on it!
