I am sure I am missing something, but is there a way to favorite or sort my commentaries by a predefined system? Example: I use these "X" commentaries often and would prefer them to show up on the top of my list. Thanks!

Hey Steve! One way to make it be so would be to create a commentary collection of your favorites books or favorite commentary series.

If you use guides, then you can add the commentary collection to that guide and your favorites that you selected will show up!

This Collections Tutorial *may* help: https://faithlifetv.com/media/306916, if not, reach out again and I or someone else can help get you going in that direction (If this kind of answer is what you are looking for.)

I've attached a pic of collections I've made that are adapted from Mark Barnes sorting rules. instead of my favorites, Mark has created categories of commentary sets. That way, if I need a devotional/expository commentary I don't reach for a technical one (or I don't have to sort through a HUGE list of single-volume commentaries to find what I want.)

Mark's Commentary Rules can be found at this link. https://community.logos.com/forums/t/88829.aspx?PageIndex=1

Steve Baker:

Richard gave good advice and I also use the collection rules that Mark Barnes curates. In addition, I use Mytag (https://wiki.logos.com/Tagging) to tag individual volumes as belonging to the recommendations from Tim Challies and the top 5 rated at BestCommentaries.com (you can tag whichever volumes you prefer), then I use the tags to create a collection that I have identified as "Commentaries (Best)"

This allows me to zero in on preferred volumes within Guides when I search a reference.

Also, I have prioritized certain sets/volumes so that they appear in the top of my searches. (https://wiki.logos.com/Prioritizing

Actually - I would say David's advice on Prioritizing is probably the first step to getting what you want - I often forget that a lot of people don't know about prioritization or even know how to do this. It's probably the most helpful of all the advice given thus far!

The only drawback of these specific tips is that they (oddly) don't translate into the mobile apps very well, so don't get disappointed if you fail to see this help on your Logos mobile/tablet apps.
