in the word-by-word I am trying to figure out why some words are in gray and some words are in black? Notice in the picture that the greek word for lawless is in Black but the other words are not. Thanks for any help you can provide

If you go to <Settings> you can change the number of words (lemmas) that Logos will show in the word-by-word section:

In addition to the good advise above you can click on any gray word and it will populate and turn black.
