Logos 8.13 stable and 14.1 beta Sermon Sync Problem

Last week after 14 beta 1 was installed, my newly created sermon for the weekend would not sync to my ipad device to use for my online Zoom church meeting.

I deleted Logos & installed 8.13 but it has made no difference. Furthermore, the sermon was totally corrupted but, fortunately, I had copied it into a word doc file and were able to print it out.

Is this a bug or is it something gone AWOL on my machine?

Sorry to hear you had problems.

My guess - and it is nothing more than that - at the moment is that the sync problem was unrelated to the different versions of Logos.

Do you still have the problem - if you create a sermon document on your system does it correctly sync with your iPad now?

And - for info - I've just created a sermon document on Logos 8.14 beta 1 on Windows 10 and it synched without any problem to my iPad

Thanks for responding Graham. Yes, I have done that and the problem still exists on both my ipad and iphone. It seems the problem is with my laptop.

It seems the problem is with my laptop.

In which case please:

  • stop Logos
  • enable logging
  • start Logos
  • create a sermon document and press the sync button
  • close Logos
  • post logs in a reply this thread

This might give us more insight about what is going on

I think there are some old log files here but the dates are obvious. I uninstalled and reinstalled Logos last Sunday. Thanks very much for your help.

It looks as though there might be an issue with one item the software is trying to sync - but I'm not sure.

Is there a red exclamation mark inside the sync button - this normally indicates a sync button?

There are no error indicators at all. You do from time to time see the red exclamation mark, but I haven't seen that for some time. It's all very puzzling.

Graham, thanks for your help. I called Logos this morning and David from the tech department helped me get under way. The problem was the two devices (Iphone & Ipad). He is still not sure why, but I had to delete the apps and reinstall each of them. After letting them sync which took some time, the sermon/s concerned synced through fine.

One thing that helped nail down the problem was using apps.logos.com. The fact that the sermons all synced there showed that the laptop Logos program was syncing out ok. That way he knew it was located in the mobile devices. Hopefully, this might help anyone else who's having this same issue.
