Thank you, Mattillo. I passed on this at its earlier price point. Now, it's moving in to a 'steal' territory.
"God will save his fallen angels and their broken wings He'll mend."
I originally just put a low bid in but just raised my bid with the hope that the price will be reduced.
I really like the idea that Logos plans to update BDAG with active links to these volumes once they go into production. It is then we will see the real benefit of these.
Anyone else care to put in a bid and help lower the price? Remember, it is 17 volumes and the price is getting close to $29.

That's the reason why I bid on almost every CP; not the price for which it would likely go, but the price I'd consider a good deal (but not necessarily a 'steal'.)

That's some pretty obscure and esoteric stuff -- right up my alley! I'm in at that price.

Yes, and interesting too! Most are right on the 'cusp' of the papyri discoveries, though much work had been done on earlier papyri hoards. Here's my list I'd like:
For anyone with odd abilities to remember names, Francis Crawford Burkitt might ring a bell. The syriac name conventions above is Burkitt's. He was also heavy into trying to deduce the early NT manuscripts. Wrote the preface to the english translation of Schweitzer's Quest. And accompanied Agnes Smith to St Catherine's, regarding the old syriac manuscripts. He was a busy-boy!

Well, the implication of the title is that this collection will be helpful, using BDAG ... presumably more active references you can click on. It's hard for me to imagine that being significant, beyond technical BDAG users. Indeed, the earlier version preceding BDAG likely has more technical merit, and per many threads, practical merit.
This collection, however, does fill in some gaps regarding greek development (contra an image of certainty, greek remains a discussion). The comparisons across languages are especially interesting, since the 'cosmos' at that time was again, a discussion in translation ... how do you communicate a 'first'?? What about ecclesiastic language for the Christians in north Africa (latin) vs those in southern Asia (greek).
So, it really depends on your interests. BTW, you really DO need BDAG (which you already knew).
Thanks Denise, that is very helpful. And yes, I do need BDAG... perhaps, one day the finance fairies will smile upon me! ;)
