I'm sure we all have our own reasons for using the forums. For me it's about discovering deals that I might otherwise have missed - and pointing out deals to others too.

Halfway through CS251 and I have been THOROUGHLY blessed by it! I feel like I’m hearing good news about my extended church family through their struggles and triumphs. From culture to structure, I feel like my American church history is filling out the empty places and giving another side to the story. He calls out the failures of the American Church while not neglecting to celebrate the Abolitionist movements of the Church.  Dr Ellis does well to celebrate the black Heroes of faith that most Church History resources I’ve read don’t mention, and I’m blessed to now know about how robust African American church history is with missionaries, theologians, and courageous ministers. Can’t wait to finish the course And have already suggested it to numerous friends and colleagues.

Now, where there's thunder, there must be lightning. I've always wondered about Mat 24:27. At least in our neck of the woods, lightning and dry rain come in off the hot desert ... start a lot of fires ... maybe Palestine too, from the east.

But I appreciated Bob's blog article. He (or they) could have done the salt-with-no-savor thing, and no one would see any issue. Lightning predicts lightning rods (blog comments), and Bob probably knew that too, as he wrote.

It was nice.
