I don't think there’s a shortcut for invoking the Pronounce feature in the biblical text. I searched and couldn’t find one. If I am correct, I would like to request this feature. I use the Pronounce feature a lot, but currently, I have to right-click on the word and then select Pronounce from the menu.

I continue to feel that this (in my opinion) option should be available in all packages too.

I suspect that most who use it heavily use the Information panel.

I suspect there should be a faster easier way.  Yet one more example of ground up revamp needed. We can only pray they go back someday and revisit the core program and make it easier and more intuitive instead of adding newer functionality. Stick out tongue

I half expected someone to say there is always an audio bible to wade through...sigh.  I do know the sound it out sort thing is there but it would be so much nicer if it just pronounced it by right click the word or something.  Mr. Hyatt, realistically it may never happen though don't quote me please.  Logos users would probably say you and I need more or better training.

Even great authors did rewrites and/or had an editor....Logos motto seems to be "push forward and never imagine the core STILL needs work".

If I was in charge I would spend more time making what I had better and more user focused with common basic features like a pronounce guide rather than going down new seemingly exciting rabbit trails.  Think of how little the actual menu has changed through the years or even how column lengths (at least in my windows version) don't accommodate more text.  Logos will say "but you can change the size on your own" never stopping to think "wow, maybe it should do more, better, without requiring tweaks".

If I was at Faithlife I would pay a lot more money to some imaginative programmers and developers who go back to the core of the program and start changing menus and looking for ways to make the program simpler.  Pressing on.

That was a long way of saying...good recommendation.  If Logos 9.x had it I would fall off my chair to the floor in earnest praise to Jesus!

instead of adding functionality noone wants or really will use

Please layoff trying to shortchange those who do want and do use features you see no value in. I support your goal of ease of use for the average parishioner in a faith formation class. I don't support your anti-support of everyone else.

Peace to you MJ...to be fair I did go back and edit that out but you replied quicker than my edit.  I know the more experienced technical users want their new rabbit trails...I just wish more was obviously being done to the basic structure of the program...say beyond obvious cosmetic changes.

Wouldnt it be exciting to open up 9.x and be stunned by updated easier functionality.

I upgraded to Gold Baptist so please everyone don't think I don't enjoy what we do have on some very basic levels.  I also see smart compassionate developers and forum users in here...its refreshing.
