Hi All,

Does Logos stock Martin Luther's commentary on Romans?

I can't find it.

Thanks!

To the best of my knowledge, no.

The Gospel is not ... a "new law," on the contrary, ... a "new life." - William Julius Mann

as far as I know (and what was documented in the Luther's Works Index PB some time ago) Logos only has this so far as it is vol 25 of Luther's Works - It would be worthwhile to see other editions, such as the interesting abridged version by Theodore Mueller.

Why?  By now it must be in the public domain.  And FL claims it wants to publish every religious public domain title. And that Personal Books are a threat to that goal. But it has not yet released Martin Luther's commentary on Romans.

Why?

It's part of a set published by Kregel so if FL could negotiate the rights for the set that would be good to have it in Logos.

If someone is keen they could make a PB from the version below available at: https://www.biblestudytools.com/commentaries/luther/romans/

[This translation was made by Bro. Andrew Thornton, OSB, for the Saint Anselm College Humanities Program. 1983 by Saint AnselmAbbey. This translation may be used freely with properattribution.]

But it's only Luther's preface to Romans from his bible translation, not the book-length treatment compiled from lectures he gave in his capacity as a theology professor.

... I should of checked the detail.... oh well I'd much rather a fully funcitoning Logos Research edition anywy.
