[8]Thirty days hath September, April, June, and November...[8]
If "last Monday in October" every two years holds true, I would expect Verbum 10 on the Vigil of All Saints and Logos 10 on Reformation Day.

Well, we had Logos Unbound, next logical step is Logos Reformed!
Thanks to FL for including Carta and a Hebrew audio bible in Logos 9!

Logos 11 will then have to give us the "New Perspective on Logos"

Man, I hope not. I wouldn’t be able to buy anything with a “Reformed” title. Lol.

I like Logos NP. (About as catchy as Windows NT.)

I’m more pessimistic—civilization might have ended and Jesus might have returned by then.

Logos 10 will be released and all the Faithlife developers will have been raptured leaving just me behind to make sense of it (with no programming skills or abilities).

Here are some exciting features coming soon in Logos 10!
Heresy Checker™ – No need to worry about accidentally affirming Arianism or the latest Joel Osteen book. That quote from C. S. Lewis? The Heresy Checker™ will popup a window reminding you that Lewis was not fully orthodox in his writings!
Illustration Fact-Checker™ – Remember the story about the Admiral on a Navy ship getting into an argument with a lighthouse keeper? Turns out that didn't actually happen! The Auto Correct feature will replace "Many years ago …" with "There's an old story that says …", freeing your conscience from an unintentional lie.
Preacher Filter™ – Selectively replaces words in your sermon so that your manuscript reads as clearly as MacArthur or as passionate as Piper. The Matthew Henry™ setting will triple the length of your manuscript, replace 5 out of 6 periods with semi-colons, and use the Oxford English Thesaurus of the English Language to substitute words that are more than five syllables and currently obsolete.
Auto-Biography™ – Searches your sermon manuscripts for stories about yourself and your family (full integration with your contacts) in order to build your own autobiography. A helpful Limited Embarrassment setting replaces your children's names with phrases like "my youngest daughter." And, when your days are run, your surviving family can generate an instant obituary with a single click!

Is it too early to start the wish list for Logos 10? LOL
I am loving Logos 9, but just thought the earlier we start the list for the next version, the more of our requests we will get, or will all that now be in the feedback forum?
Thanks for the laugh...Carla

I think feedback.faithlife.com basically is our Logos/Verbum 10 (and 9.x) wishlist now. I find it more user friendly than a single massive thread, myself.

I was just thinking about when L10 would be potentially coming this fall. I haven't seen any posts from FL asking about features that they would like users to see. Maybe the new feedbar site is clearing that up for them. If I remember correctly, FL typically will start dropping hints or promoting the upcoming upgrade to whet our appetites.

They have not always done so, and typically things are quiet upon an upcoming release.

They tend to stealth launch it. It’s annoying because it makes it hard to budget for. I’m guessing it’s to prevent people from stopping all purchases while they wait?

I can understand you here, but although they don't tell us when the next version is coming out... we kinda have a good guess.
Bob indicated 4-5 cycles ago that they were moving to a two year cycle. Base upon the pattern for the past decade, it is generally expected that new packages will come out this fall. That doesn't tell us the month, but likely September - November.

The last October Monday in 2022 is: 31 Oct 2022 "Halloween" so my personal opinion is Tue 1 Nov 2022 "All Saints Day" being better for Bible software release.
Logos Wiki => Logos Release History shows:
Logos 9 & Verbum 9 were released on the last Monday: 26 Oct 2020
Logos 8 & Verbum 8 were released on the last Monday: 29 Oct 2018
Logos 7 & Verbum 7 were released in August: Mon 22 Aug 2016
Logos 6 & Verbum 6 were released on the last Monday: 27 Oct 2014
Logos 5 was released on Thu 1 Nov 2012
Logos 4 was released on Mon 2 Nov 2009.

Since Gregory posted, rumors of another exciting feature have leaked out. The Feature set of one of the denomination packages (I won't say which) will contain this watchdog code built-in. The cutting-edge web technology of Net Finney will be adapted for use inside Logos.

It's actually too late. They have been working on it for the past couple of years, concurrently with the incremental releases of 9.x. So it's probably too late to get new features into the spec.

On the other hand, some Protestant denominations celebrate “Reformation Day” on the 31st. So (assuming this isn’t regional to where I live) I could see FL doing that too.
To be honest, I forgot that I even started this thread when Logos 9 came out 2 ears ago. 😉

Depends on feature size/complexity for coding and related purposes.

I hope with release of Logos 10 that it has the following... (a few of my favorite things... I am sure others have some additions to this list).
1. In the mobile app.... the ability to insert heading in passage lists like in the desktop version.
2. InstaVerse upgraded to work with Logos Bibles. If not, then ability to have command key to open, type in a passage and paste it automatically into anything that I am working with: excel, word, powerpoint... etc.
3. Ability to have and edit and add bullets and numer items in slides in Sermon Builder.
4. Factbook updated - to work with all books.
5. Cross Reference - update to have more results.
6. Concordance Tool - have a button to click on for search and highlight the word for the result of the search.

More results from where? Cross-references come from the cross-reference resources listed in the top portion (I suspect many would like to see the latest edition of the Treasury of Scripture Knowledge added). Others, especially non-English users, may have other additions. The other sources of cross-references (the bottom portion) are the cross-references in Bibles. If there are any Bibles whose cross-references do not appear, this should be reported to Kyle as a resource error. It has been several years since I have seen this problem. Other kinds of relationships appear in the Important Passages section. When this was in beta testing, there was strong pushback on merging the two sections. Therefore, I don't understand what you want added to cross-references. Please explain.

I'd be happy if they gave denominational tags we can use to search by. I do understand that some don't fit into neat categories. But I'd appreciate it if they at least gave us where they were when they wrote it and where they are currently in those cases.

It's hardly ever mentioned, but I would like to see a more intuitive way to prioritize our books. The current system is clunky; everything is in one place, regardless of the type of book. It is also buried in the library. I would love to see a standalone tool.
Collections could be improved too.
I have been asking this for years, but I would like a way to delete, or even hide, tools I will never use. If I never see the word "Canvas" again in my copy of Logos, I would be overjoyed.

Would love the option for resources to auto prioritize with bestcommenataries rankings. might not be perfect, but would be good starting point.

Libby, Libby, Libby, on the label, label, label.
I'm guessing Libby's standalone tool, I think by index (not type), led to the cement-mixer in Logos4, followed by umpteen threads on how to prioritize commentaries.
In any event, I still use Libby's, primarily to see which of my resources have a specific index. It'd be nice to know, when buying, which have specific indices, but I doubt much benefit to most.
