There is a suggestion at feedback.faithlife.com about a paper builder within Logos. This looks very interesting please go and upvote it!

Thanks to FL for including Carta and a Hebrew audio bible in Logos 9!

Not an academic but I agree this would be useful. Working through the process of writing paper is a good way to consolidate your learning on a topic of interest. +1 to the votes.. let's keep this thread rolling and the vote counter ticking over.

I believe it's the top voted item period.

And it's not even on the Roadmap yet. Wow. Very successful. 42 votes at time of writing.

Well, in fairness, it only had four votes when we started this morning.

If we are going to go this route, we really need the ability to import PDFs, html, rich text and markdown files. I know this has been discussed extensively before, but the reality is that papers in Logos will not always be composed of research exclusively from the Logos ecosystem.

Being able to open a website from within Logos would be very useful as well.  We already have Wikipedia, so presumably that would enable the user to customize this for other commonly referred to resource websites.

Whether there is a market for all this to justify the investment, I don’t know. A competitor’s product already allows for pdf imports and website integration.

In meantime I am using other tools. In my case it is Devonthink and Papers for the Mac.

Is all the text in the pdf imports searchable or are many imported as pictures?

If the PDF has text in it, it is searchable, but as far as I am aware it does not do OCR.

An example of where this works great is the PDF version of Themelios Journal.
