Lawrence Espinosa:
Sure they have training videos to go through but it Should not be that complicated that I have to go through all the videos to get what I want since I did not have to do this with other Bible Programs.  Yes I am loosing an old friend.

You don't have to watch the videos, but you will get more out of the software if you do. It also helps to read the documentation. And many of us here at the forums are more than willing to help.

It's hard switching, though at this time you are not required to switch, but a willingness to learn the software would go a long way and I think you will come to know and love the software as so many of us do.

Thanks David, I really don’t want to seem like I am complaining all the time on the change as I am thankful that I get to keep all my books and not have to start from scratch again. The Videos may help but I liked the easy to use icons and links in wordsearch so it will take me aa while to get used to it. Right now I am using the dashboard to try to put all my books in a better order as possible. The best thing I like about Logos is the Messianic books selection which I did not have in Wordsearch. Hopefully that will continue to grow more than what they have now. I will one day move to the Philippines and trying to get all my library there may be a huge challenge due to the weight so this may be an alternative to lesson my load. Thanks to all who responded

Lawrence Espinosa:

I am not talking about the stuff but the business As a whole which is why I switched to WORDsearch years ago.  Almost anyone can tell by the price of the product comparing to other software along with physically purchasing the books that logos is high.

Logos is still around be they have made business decisions including price that have allowed them to keep the software up to date with modern technology.

Wordsearch is no longer around because their pricing model did not allow the software to move with the times. It was seriously outdated, they had issues with trying to get it to run on the latest Mac version and to bring the software up to date so it could continue would have required a massive injection of cash and people resources for which Lifeway would not get an adequate return. Sadly WS was destined for this demise because it was the product was being run by a publisher and not a software company.

Destiny arrived and it is not FL’s fault, they are not greedy, they need to sell to ensure they are here next week, next month and into the next decades of all its users ministry and lives.

I do feel your personal situation Lawerence.

That most likely is true as I do not like Mac but use windows for all my computer programs.  i Do on the other hand use Apple IPad for a lot of other things.
