I am just starting with Logos8 , have been using WS and just discovered it is now Logs, and I will use for bible study prep for small groups.

is there a word processer in Logos where info from resoures can be copy and pasted into and then printed., names, filed, etc? Or do you have to copy and paste info from many resources into a Word doc outside of Logos.

These should be very simple things to do, I have watched many of the videos, and havent seen an easy answer , so i am reaching out to this forum. Logos is a powerful tool, but not easy to use initially.

thanks

Hi Phil - and welcome to Logos and to these forums

Therr are two options:

  1. Notes - https://support.logos.com/hc/en-us/articles/360017978372-Notes-Tool
  2. Sermon Builder - https://support.logos.com/hc/en-us/articles/360016747391-Sermon-Builder (available in certain packages)

I suggest you look at these and see if they give you what you are looking for

Sermon Builder isn't really a Word Processor but fills the bill in most respects. Notes tool works very well with it.
The "Quickstart for Logos 8 (9)" should be in your library and is the best starting point.
Also, Morris Proctor did a webinar training series for those of us from WS that is very very useful and I highly recommend it.
I was originally bitter with the move (to be completely honest) but after I starting watching Morris, I am very happy in Logos.

I might be misunderstanding your need but for a lot of this, I use the "Clippings" tool. While in a resource, highlight some text, right click, Make sure "Selection" is selected on the left side and then select "Add to Clipping". A Clippings document will be created. You can then add notes to each clip. For filing, you should name the document in a way that is systematic to your work style and you can find easily.
