Yo sup, i have been using logos for almost 13 years now.

I have young kids now and I sometimes I wonder if Logos might entertain the idea of developing Logos for kids? I want to teach my kids how to use these the bible software at a young age but just find current Logos 9 VERY advanced.

We have our 7yo using Passage lists for memorization and also Word Puzzles from the Docs menu.
We home school, so memorizing is part of his curriculum, but it would reallt be awesome to see a kids mode.
Maybe a desktop that is locked to the child with access only to what is approved, and if Logos happened to make a few kids focused tools, well that'd be awesome too.
Probably the one thing I would request though, is not to kidify the Bibles used, make them selectable. Our Curriculum uses KJV so having only modern kids versions available would render it almost useless to us.
Some ideas for activities in early elementary that he is learning are, memorization passages of 8 to 12 verses a month, Bible books, Godly character traits and definitions/examples, and real life scenarios of Godly character. Also comprehension questions based on passages read.
I realize this is a big list, but, since the discussion has been put forth, shoot for the moon, right?Big Smile

There was another thread on this topic a while back, as well as resources.

I have a 12 year old and 18 year old who use Logos all the time and they are both looking forward to getting L9.  They use it for Bible study and they are learning about features that make Bible Study more exciting.  I do wish there would be more thought put into this, as I see a market if it is developed correctly. They sometimes use Faithlife TV, but not very often.

I brought up this idea quite a few years ago. There was some debate. Some people thought it was a terrible idea. I would still like to see it happen. https://community.logos.com/forums/t/76255.aspx

I wouldn't be surprised to learn that such a version would be secretly popular among adult users as well.

Interesting concept. Perhaps some kind of simplified shell that parents could add might work.

I’d personally want to avoid Logos becoming like Adobe Photoshop (overpriced) and Photoshop elements (underpowered).
