Does faithlife plan to create a native support for the new apple m1 chip? This could be a great advance in performance. The virtualization of the actual X86 or X64 Version will maybe be slower and buggy.

Anyone knows what they are planning to do?

FL appears to have a developer machine so I suspect this is something to look forward to. There's no real concern that L9 won't run in Rosetta on Big Sur in one of the new machines. I fully intend to buy one of these machines figuring that Logos will support it.

We've had a developer machine for a while, and I think I've heard that Logos runs well on it. I'm not sure if we've done any performance benchmarks yet, but I've not heard anything significant either way. I'd expect performance to be mostly the same.

We would like to support Apple's Arm-based M1 natively, and we're in the process of planning out a technology path to get there. But we don't yet have a roadmap or timeframe for full support yet.

I ordered a Mac Mini so we can keep testing the experience and make sure it's well supported.

We need to give FL some slack in gratitude for their awesome rollout of L9 which benefits every Logos user. I might suggest setting up a Silicon beta group once they have something to work with. Thanks Phil.

Phil, any decisions at this point as to a roadmap to get to native M1 Logos?

Thanks

Bob
