If Logos is going to go down this slippery slope, perhaps they should also consider "Ten To-Die-For Christmas Recipes using Novichok". It would be less hazardous to the reader.

Well, King David did get into really hot water counting the people (depending on the account, of course). Recipes are indeed safer.
Well, I guess we could file it under the same category of reading as the “Rapture/End of the World will take place in 19XX“ books 😉
On the other hand, the title is probably just to the point: it would really be unexpected if the voting body were to make Trump the next president next week.
It could come down to my Six Favorite Catholics.
Ha! Well, in case I might have been tempted (which I wasn't), it's not available to purchase outside of the US anyway... [:P]
Kind of reminds me of the catch phrase for the old infomercial for Food-saver vacuum sealer.
"Stop throwing your cash in the trash!" [;)]
Can we get this book in Logos please?
88 reasons Why The Rapture Will Be in 1988: The Feast of Trumpets (Rosh Hash-Ana) September, 11-12-13: Edgar C, Whisenant: Amazon.com: Books

It seems he wrote a follow up in 1989 to explain why his calculations were a year out. 😉
The book is currently unavailable. Maybe it got raptured 😂😂😂 The things people believe!

If FL is indeed going to offer the abomination in the OP, they should STOP THE PRESSES and all other company activities in order to acquire and offer Eric Hoffer's The True Believer. It describes the psychological backflips that people, especially in crowds (and thanks to the internet, your living room is a crowd), are willing to engage in so that they can believe "the improbable" and "the unexpected" (see title of book in OP). The extent to which his observations bleed into Christian belief and behavior is alarming, even though he was more focused on political rather than religious thought. Take the mother who sent her daughter to a Corona virus party, who, when her daughter promptly died, declared with a smile on her face and nary a tear in her eye that she died a hero for freedom and Donald Trump. The MAGA church is a critical mass confluence of many of Hoffer's observations. In this case, the reason it seems "unexpected" is because it is impossible. YHWH is not and by nature never could be supportive of that movement.
The True Believer should be part of every Logos base package, including Starter. I bought my first copy back in college, so it's been awhile since I read it. Will read it again as soon as FL adds it.
Fwiw, I find it to be a premier example of the black humor that YHWH excels at so well that the one thing, perhaps the only possible thing, that was ultimately responsible for Donald Trump's loss to a lackluster candidate like Joe Biden is nothing less than "an act of God". Were it not for COVID-19 and Trump's monumental bungling of the pandemic (something which would have given any other incumbent POTUS a locked-in landslide victory for engaging in the most obvious of we're-all-in-this-together practices), Trump's re-election was all but assured. However, none of Trump's usual tricks worked in this highly unusual circumstance. He couldn't bluff or sue a virus into submission, and his double-speak shenanigans and cynical selfism were, as a result, shown to be exactly what they are by a virus that doesn't have ears, feelings, or a dwindling bank account. It didn't berate the president's childish and misanthropic antics on CNN or MSNBC; it just infected and killed more voters. It took a plague to end Trump's infamous run. Thank you, YHWH...and as always, well-played!

Thank you, Mr Paul. I'd been looking for similar. I'm guessing present-day politics is 'off-the-coffeetable', and so far, a year in, the forum hasn't strayed. Good. And surprisingly good.
But I clearly remember I was convinced Mr Nixon was innocent, even as he climbed the steps of the grey helicopter (BW TV). He was 'ours', against that awful not-our-religion president earlier ... we were so happy at that previous leader's sudden demise. At least a sort-of-Christian took his place.
Of course, I think differently now, but I wondered why I was so comfortable with the extremes ... and not alone, either. I bought the book.
Too early to say. There are still courts are going on and election is not over. Anything can happen
Politics come politics go... But one thing we know... God is still in control. I rest me and take peace and comfort in that thought. I've always wondered if politics is just the world's way of trying to minimize Christ and His teachings? Sure seems like a lot of believers get all tangled up in politics....

Look at what I found buried on my shelves (I was pretty sure I had a copy somewhere). Docx, anyone? Interesting how the author moved from the subjunctive (Could Be) to the assertive (Will Be) in the title.
Look at what I found
Excellent JRS! But ... from WBS, there's MORE! And 21 days to go. I'm thinking to quit my job (just in case). Five theological doctoral degrees can't be wrong. I'd of drawn the line at four.

No, no, no - you're so wrong! There can never be enough doctors!

I believe I have the 1989 version. if I remember right, the 89th reason was "because it didn't happen in 1988". I came across it in a box of free books, and kept it as a curiosity. I sometimes bring it up when people start date setting, and someone I know starts to take it serious. A woman with multiple doctorates from the college I graduated from put out a video in 2018 saying why Jesus was GOING to return in november (12th maybe?) last year. Had something to do with blood moons, and Mayan calender's, and Nostradamus (glossed over scripture briefly) and then she set the date. I hadn't talked to her in the last decade or so, but I couldn't resist posting just the scripture reference "Matthew 24:36". Almost immediately blocked. Perhaps should have sent it to her in a message. But as a self proclaimed bible scholar... any way. Shes changed her focus since then away from the eschaton.

I knew a guy who was totally obsessed with date-setting. He had built up this elaborate scheme with all kinds of numbers and charts and such, and he was so convinced he was right. He would get talking about it with anyone and everyone and try to convince them. I think he took some satisfaction in being one of the very few people who knew this esoteric knowledge. One friend of his would listen to him and kind of believed his ideas were plausible, but didn't hang too much hope on them being correct. But this date-setter's family thought he was nuts and his marriage fell apart. The date he thought he'd figured out came and went. I'm not sure how he dealt with that cognitive dissonance. I lost touch with him. I heard he had died some years after his wife left him. I guess he met his maker before the "End Times" came to a final end.
Ok, let's see... How does one tell whether a prophet is true or false?
One simple way is to see if his prophecies come true.... [8-|]

A little too late for this one too. It's gone on sale - presumably because Trump lost.
