As far as I can tell, this only occurs in Factbook. Any suggestions as to how to get the scroll bar on the right side of Factbook?

I should add: Some applications have disappearing scrollbars. Only the active pane shows the scrollbar, and sometimes it will disappear when not being interacted with. Have you experimented at all?

Yes. I thought maybe it was due to it not being the active window, but that wasn't it.

Then I thought perhaps it was a Windows setting, but I have made sure that the scroll bar is "not hidden" and I get the same result in Factbook.

I thought perhaps it was just on the right side on my Logos layout that this was an issue, but when I opened Factbook on the left side, I had the same problem.

Plus I have opened windows for other resources, and after trying about 10 different resources or tools, all worked with the scroll bar visible, except for Factbook.

I'm using the Windows software, not the Mac.

Thanks for the clarification, I figured so. When troubleshooting, it is important to make sure to provide relevant details. Mike is also on Mac, and he too has the scroll bar. We will need Windows users to chime in to see what they report. This may be a Windows only bug.

Charlene,

If you expand some of the sections does it show up? If there is nothing to scroll on it won't show up.

I had expanded, and there are some sections with a lot of detail below and there still is no visible scroll bar. In fact, I clicked on "Expand All" and so there were a LOT of detail, but still no visible scroll bar. There definitely is no arrow at the top or bottom. I have also tried with the Logos program minimized and maximized, but there is no difference.

However, as Bill said, he had a scroll bar, although it was very thin. So I just rolled my cursor over there and the window will move up and down as I move my cursor. However, I have not clicked on anything over there and the scroll bar is not visible to the naked eye! But it will move as I roll my cursor! It is VERY strange.

Thanks, Bill, informing me that it is there. Once you said that, I rolled my cursor over there and the Factbook will move up and down as I continue to roll my cursor. However, the scroll bar itself is not visible. My display is a 14" display. Surely this would not be affecting this, would it?

Thank you Charlene...my laptop is a 15.6" display and it does show the very slightest "trough" for the slider to be in, however, that is only visible when the window is fully expanded. Hopefully, FL/Logos will be able to rectify this problem quickly.

Bill, I was experiencing this exact thing on certain panels, such as the Notes panel, and finally, after much frustration created a thread: https://community.logos.com/forums/p/189093/1092228.aspx#1092228 . I didn't get any resolution and even called tech support to no avail, but finally, after changing different settings, I changed my screen resolution from 4K to the regular 1920x1080 and did 125% on the scaling (Windows setting), now all is fine. I think there is a software flaw here with 4K 15in laptops, but I figured at the time apparently I was the only one with the problem. I was just glad I figured it out. Maybe this will help you.

Making those changes that David suggested did NOT change Factbook on my laptop. It just made the fonts, icons, and programs smaller. But once again, my display is 14". After making those changes, the scroll bar does not appear automatically. However, now when you roll your cursor over the right hand side of Factbook, the scroll bar appears a bit more noticeable, BUT you shouldn't have to do this to make it appear. It should automatically appear. This is something that Faithlife definitely needs to fix.

Thank you David for this information, however that still doesn't provide the "Up/Down" arrows in Factbook that would indicate where the scrollbar is (at least on my laptop). I changed laptop system settings to that which you recommended and my print became to small to be readable for a long time, so I adjusted various other settings in the program, etc., all of which never showed the up/down arrows in Factbook.

I also have a multi-monitor setup that I use and it was the same on all of the other monitors as well. My 65 year old eyes aren't up to the task of seeing very small print for an extended period of time without becoming bloodshot and burning. So, as much as I appreciate your offer of changed settings, I will keep what works for me (and my eyes) and try to find "hidden treasures" like scrollbars that are supposed to be there.

Do you have this same problem with the Homepage?

I rarely use the Homepage, so I had to go check it out, and sure enough, I do! Same problem!
