Years ago I purchased the NAC set, which is before the 1 Corinthians volume was available. I assumed once it was made available it would automatically become part of the set that I purchased, but it appears if I want it I have to purchase it separately. Can anyone confirm this?

Correct—when you bought the set, you bought what was currently included at that time.

Every other incomplete set has said as new volumes are released they will be added. I wonder why this one is different.

Which sets?  My incomplete sets do not get new volumes added for free such as PNTC, NIGTC, NICOT/NICNT.

Additional volumes are typically dynamically priced in sets. FWIW, with something like this volume you can get it as part of the later set or better still look at it as part of a base package. I think that's how I might have obtained it, but I can't be sure with all the packages I bought.

The only set that could possibly be true for is:

With that set you're paying for books before they're made available.  With other sets, you're paying for the books that you're buying that are already available.

It’s been a number of years, I don’t remember.
