I own all the NICOT volumes (not recently purchased/they are fully indexed), and I've run across a bug.  When I open my library and apply the following filters:

Subject, Bible O.T.

Type, Bible Commentary

Subject, Genesis

The two NICOT Genesis volumes by Hamilton do not appear in the filtered list of results.

After selecting the "Bible O.T." subject, click the magnifying glass just above the list of facets. This will let you filter the facets. Type in Genesis. You will see a number of additional subjects that include a chapter number with the book.

Yes - they appear to be tagged with a subject field that is just focused on the part of Genesis they cover

We see the same thing for over "split-book" commentaries, as below:

So I assume it's deliberate in terms of tagging but agree it's not helpful in this case.

The subject tagging matches the library of congress LC Subjects, although with some cleanup (converting from roman numerals): https://catalog.loc.gov/vwebv/search?searchCode=LCCN&searchArg=90036511&searchType=1&permalink=y

Whether it matches the LC or not, it's not helpful if I can't locate resources that should be logically listed under the Subject, O.T. Bible, Genesis sort.  Other multivolume commentaries are locatable with a similar filter method. Please fix this.

If Genesis is split over 2 volumes with different subjects like Genesis 1-25, Genesis 26-50 they will not appear under subject Genesis because the sidebar filter employs an exact match. That is the design..

To do what you want, type subj:Genesis type:commentary in the Library Find box.

We do not have plans to update these subjects at this time. However, we should be adding a new facet in 9.4 called "Subject Reference" which exposes tagging that we've created indicating what the book is about.

With the new tagging, both of the NICOT volumes on Genesis are already tagged as being about the book of Genesis.

You can already see how this tagging is currently exposed by looking at the "Books in Your Library" section in Factbook, which shows resources in your library that have been tagged with a subject of that Factbook page. Navigate to the Factbook page for the Book of Genesis, and you can see all the resources in your library that have been tagged with this subject. https://ref.ly/logos4/Factbook?ref=bk.%25BookOfGenesis_Writing
