Hey Mike, you mentioned looking into getting Schneelmelcher's 2 volumes on the New Testament Apocrypha here, and Rick Brannan also suggested that we try to get them here.  Is there any chance you have an update on these two volumes?

Also, in addition to Schneelmelcher, can you look into Elliott's The Apocryphal New Testament: A Collection of Apocryphal Christian Literature in an English Translation?

These seem to be the two standard works for the study of the New Testament Apocrypha in English.  We have the two volume New Testament Apocrypha: More Noncanonical Scriptures from Burke and Landau, but their volumes assume that one is already served by Schneelmelcher and Elliott, so they leave out the majority of what was already included in those volumes.

Searching "new testament apocrypha" NEAR schneemelcher, I get 1909 results in 764 articles in 449 resources.

Searching "apocryphal new testament" NEAR elliott, which is more recent, I get 681 results in 304 articles in 126 resources.

If your patience hasn't already run out with me, could you also look into The Nag Hammadi Scriptures: The Revised and Updated Translation of Sacred Gnostic Texts Complete in One Volume, which updates the The Nag Hammadi Library in English, which we have in Logos, but it is dated?

Between Schneemelcher and Elliott, along with the already available Burke and Landau, we would be covered on the general NT Apocrypha, and with the addition of the Nag Hammadi volume, we would be covered on the Gnostic texts, at least in English.  It would seem to be boon for Logos to have complete coverage of this material, as we are currently underserved in this pretty important area of early Christianity.

Yes, yes, yes ....

And reading your quote of my post, I see that I somehow skipped the "a" before "boon."  Whoops!

If I have time, I will do a spreadsheet with all three works and what they contain.  That could be exciting.

Please help us fill the gap and vote above to encourage Faithlife to get these important resources.  Maybe Mike will stop by and give some sort of update.
