Does the M1 compatibility issue with Logos Bible impact BOTH the iPad (IOS mobile app) and the iMac (desktop app), or is it just the iMac desktop app?

An Apple employee in a Best Buy store was super confident that there are no (i.e., zero) custom applications that are unable to run on the M1 IPad without modifications. I walked away, not worth an argument. I trust the Logos user community more.

I am unaware of any incompatibility with either app on the M1. I am running both on this machine without issue.

I may have misunderstood your question, so for clarification: My comment was about the M1 Mac. The mobile app does run fine on my M1 MacBook Air.

If there are users having troubles with the M1 iPad, I am unaware of it, but it is possible.

I am unaware of any specific problems with the desktop app on the M1 Macs.

The app is not incompatible, but in that one area, performance is decreased. I know of no user who has complained about it, which Phil acknowledged in his post.

As for the M1 iPad: the “M1” chip is the newest version of “Apple Silicon” processor… which is what has been used on iOS devices all along. Any potential incompatibility with the M1 on a MAC is because the software was designed for an intel chip, not Apple silicon. Mobile apps on an iPad do not have that conflict as all iOS apps were designed for Apple silicon

You are welcome!

I should add, however: there are no compelling reasons from a LOGOS perspective to get the M1 iPad. The reasons to get it would be outside of your use of the Faithlife apps.
