I was trying to search for Maps in the New Carta resources "Understand the Bible" and I came up with no hits.  These are tagged as images but not as Maps.  Trying searching #image ANDEQUALS Map

Is there any word on whether these resources will be tagged as Maps?

Are these Logos Editions as many in the series "Understanding the Bible" are EPUBs?

Hi

Have a look at The Ultimate Atlas & Map Training Webinar www.learnlogos.com

This Training as 30 pbb books The webinar itself is free, but the 30 personal books are proprietary to John Brumett who took 8 years to build them

There is no information on what this is. Can you tell me anything about this resource?  What are the 30 personal books?

The 30 personal books are resources that I created that make finding maps very easy in logos . For example I created links to the Sacred Bridge Atlas and place them in Biblical order so you can link the personal book to your Bible and find easily the right map for the event in context. That is only one of my personal books that I have created.

I think they are Logos Books.  Try searching #image ANDEQUALS Map in Understanding the Bible: Understanding the Israelite-Samaritans: From Ancient to Modern.

I don't have this series. In the resource Information page you will find the edition under the cover image e.g. Logos Research Edition, Ebook.

The link does not seem to work.  Can you send the link to the video?  On your site, I did not find it.

Thanks, that worked.

Thanks for the link. These are indeed WordSearch resources. They were not in the catalog before the WordSearch acquisition. They are currently in the catalog as ePub (bare bones FLEB titles). They are not currently Logos editions. They are in the process of becoming Logos editions. Here is part of the copy on the link you just provided me:

Resource Product Page:
One or more of the resources in this collection will still be finishing up production when the collection ships. They will appear in your library as EPUBs, and automatically upgraded to Logos editions once they are finished. These titles are marked with an asterisk in the below list of titles.

Were you not a WordSearch user? In any case, this is actually something I have proposed to FL in the past, but they have not done until recently with the WordSearch acquisition. Namely: Allow users to have access to the ePubs while they are being converted to Logos editions.

What a geat idea - not, Flood our libraries with poor quality resources and increase user confusion, posts on the forums and to custome service about resources not behaving as expected, missing links, poor formatting, table of contents that don’t function correctly etc. As I said great idea - not.

A little patronizing. We have already heard from at least one user who knows that Faithlife has an Ebook (ex Wordsearch) that he needed access to for a course he was due to start.

True; also, this problem is transitory and has only been a feature of these forums since the arrival of the Wordsearch contingent with their libraries.

True; the absorption of the Wordsearch resources will have passed, the majority of Faithlife's customers, by without registering on their consciousness. Those customers will be familiar with the concept of Research Editions and Ebooks and the differences between them.

I predict that by the end of the year, or thereabouts, these irritations will be fading into memory and we will revert to having most resources as Research Editions with a few Ebooks (deliberately purchased or obtained as Ebooks) coming our way.

I wonder, if having taken on Wordsearch, and with hindsight, it would have been better for Faithlife if on acquiring the customer list they had simply frozen program development and the recruiting of new customers. They could have then absorbed the resources, converting them over time. Once the work of conversion had been completed, they could have made an offer of transfer to the remaining Wordsearch customers. That way the Wordsearch customers would have had a reasonably seamless experience.
