Any particular reason why it is being removed? I do not use it that often but I think that it is a good feature to have.

It doesn't work in Dark Mode, nor in non-English UI languages, and there is a very long list of bugs that have been reported against it over the years in these forums. Using Wikipedia in a web browser provides a better experience, so we are choosing to focus our efforts on other features of the application.
Thanks Bradley - because of the lack of images, I never used it as the browser was so much better.

I was going to suggest removing Dark Mode because of the long list of bugs it has accumulated (and will continue to accumulate)[H]

Most of us probably don't use it. I have tried to use it occasionally but always end up going to a web browser.
The upgrades to the Factbook make it even more unnecessary in my opinion.
Well said [:P] Also screenshots from Dark Mode are virtually unreadable.

Well said. I tend to skip past posts with screenshots in Dark Mode as they are virtually unreadable.
I forgot it was there.
Update: The Wikipedia tool has been removed from the software as of version 9.7, and will soon stop working on previous versions. We are shutting down the web service that backs the tool, in order to reduce maintain and improve the overall reliability of our systems.
