This book is one of the key works in the revival of atonement studies in the last couple of decades. It has been languishing in pre-pub and is one of several pre-pubs slated to be canceled within this week if Faithlife can't get their production costs covered. A campaign to draw attention to them has helped somewhat, but this one is the one I'm particularly rooting for, and it's still not over the top. I thought a thread of its own might draw more attention to it.

This is indeed a most important subject! Thank you for bringing special attention to this resource. I would have totally missed it!

I have now pre=ordered it and hope others will do likewise.

I have been studying this subject most carefully. I have added much material on this topic in my greatly expanded edition of my New Treasury of Scripture Knowledge, a work titled The Ultimate Cross Reference Treasury.

You will recall that The New Treasury of Scripture Knowledge is a Logos resource.

I want to stress that this is the sort of theological resource that Logos needs more of. Those involved in serious/higher theological studies need to engage a wide range of systems. The dialogue this work enters does just that. I did my doctoral dissertation on the atonement. This book caught my eye early on and was one of the first I read. It was extremely helpful in getting caught up on the where the theological conversation was at, and because it engages other viewpoints, it served as springboard for my literature survey and getting a handle on contemporary works in atonement studies.

Getting this in Logos will benefit not just current users but future students entering the conversation. If we get behind this, hopefully it will prompt FL to widen their selection of theological resources.

Please order! It's only $18!

Reading the sample pages convinces me of the importance of this volume. It mentions another parallel work that is available in Logos The Politics of Jesus by Yoder. Take the time to review the sample pages if you do I believe they will sway you to make the modest investment to put this resource into production. I agree we need more works such as this in the Logos catalogue.

Just a few more orders would put this title into production. Will you be the one?

Now it looks like probably just one more would do it!

I'm surprised this hasn't gone green yet!

Bumping this again--no movement in the last 24 hours. Just one more will probably be enough!

Sean, I think that because they are closed on Sunday they haven't accounted for orders since Saturday closing time. Just a guess. Because Early Christian Families is in the same state of completion.

This is an automated process. No one is checking each day to tally them up.

We probably need just one more order!
