Moises Silva is already well represented in Logosian libraries. This one's a bit older (1991) and apparently pre-digital (meaning unlikely to get past prepub-ification).

But like his predecessor (Barr), he discusses in engaging fashion, the issues surrounding attaching meaning to an ancient language. Apparently, it's temporarily out of print, but the used-guys have new copies.

Below is a nice sample (taken from the Zondervan sale ... Advances in Hebrew):

In case anyone is looking for the quote in Logos, DMB meant to say that it's taken from Advances in the Study of Greek (not Hebrew):

"Silva imagines that in the year 2790, the most powerful nation in the world speaks Swahili, and English-speaking countries have ceased to exist, as has most of their literature written before 2012. Archaeologists discover a short text written in English and seek to interpret it"

(I say this as one who went looking for it)

Thanks, Todd!

The link in Logos would be https://ref.ly/logosres/dvancesstgreek?ref=Page.p+53&off=306&ctx=r+Linguistic+Theory%0a~In+Mois%C3%A9s+Silva%E2%80%99s+Go - of course it would be much better to be able to link to the original text by Silva.
