Prayer for the 17 Missionaries and their families

I would like to ask this community to join me in praying for the 17 Missionaries and their families that were kidnapped yesterday in Haiti.

Our God, we pray for these families as to protection against all evil and harm! We pray for a quick recovery and restoration! May your Armies of Angels surround them and shield them!

In Jesus Name we pray!!!!

I brought this to the attention of at least a 100 congregants, as I was a celebrant on a mass today morning. It helped to bring this prayer request to the attention of the congregation, since the topic of today in ELCF was: "Ambassadors/emissaries/envoys of Christ." So, prayers from Europe, Finland, too!

Thankful that the captivity has ended, continued prayers for the trauma experienced and for God's Spirit to continue to do a work in the hearts of the captors.
