Thanks for point this out. Stephen's father, Alec, has an excellent commentary on Isaiah.
scooter:Been in since 2.13.19.
Me too. 😀
So many jokes could be made about this but I will refrain :)
This is the first time I have seen it. I pre-ordered it today. It is ' almost funded ' so I hope this helps speed up the release.

That's great that it's now "almost funded". It wasn't when I posted last week. 😀
Almost funded now. 😉 Looks like one or two more pre-orders will push it over the line.
Just as we get this book over the line, Faithlife have put a similar book by the same author into pre-pub. I suspect the second volume may be a more "popular" version as it appears shorter. The second volume is published this November, so I can't find much online, but I'd be interested if anyone has any inside information comparing the 2 books.

I'm still wondering what I'd be missing if I simply waited for his other book on the subject:
I prefer the price of the second book.
256 pages vs 352 pages. The cheap one must be a slightly condensed version of the other. Two different publishers also, Apollos and IVP UK. Not sure if one belongs to the other.

Apollos is the academic division of IVP.

Thanks! Wasn’t too sure about that 👍
In the Google Books preview Preface, the author says "Come Lord Jesus!" grew out of and is an expansion of the "Bible Speaks Today" slimmer version.
Both look interesting and have placed pre-orders.

Thanks. I missed that.
