The words "up to... or more" are meaningless unless customers are being invited to choose one or the other.

If the latter is correct, I choose more.

Would you go for "Save up to 1% or more"?  Or maybe "Save up to 99% or more"?   I agree, meaningless.

But the little icon limits to 70%.  I wonder why they added 'or more'.  Or maybe there is more! (I didn't bother checking)

I looked. At a quick glance, it appears that I could save between 15% and 60%. That made me happy enough since there were a couple things I wanted.

"Save or don't save". That should cover everything, no matter whether one makes a purchase or not.

I always overanalyze commercials. It all started when I was a kid and a local lending institution advertised rates that were "lower than you might think". Even my 10-year-old brain had a heyday with that meaningless line.

I as well started analyzing commercials + marketing when I was 10.  The Beatles had a never-ending stream of cuteness that got on my latest loose tooth.

I asked myself what did supposedly cute guys from England have to do with the quality of music.  Nothing!, I concluded.  So, I picked the Stones + the Animals, whose music had more feel for me, as well.

Ever since, I have had the sense to dissect the puffery.

One of my pet peeves, too.

I assume 70% is the biggest discount they offer, and that "or more" means "with dynamic pricing." Which I don't really think should be called "saving," but I am not in marketing!

Music is personal, +, Gordon, I figure U are a Beatles fan.  My wife is one, over here in Canada.  My final take on the Beatles is that they were a decent little pop band.  For me, the greatest group out of England was Cream.  So, to each his/her own.

I told myself that, whatever the differences in musical preference between you and I, We Can Work It Out (1970).

I quite like The Beatles but I'm not actually a fanatic. I was just having a little fun with their song titles Big Smile

Yup.  No time for fussing + fighting, my friend......Now the song is playing in my head.  I HAVE to make it so Yesterday to get some Satisfaction.

Faithlife corrected it: the ridiculous language of "up to... or more" is no more!
