I am wanting to do some studying and lesson building in the Parables.  I look into and find many many books about Parables..... and I don't know any of the authors...

Would someone please suggest one or two author that I might look into or purchase?

I found this to be helpful -

I will also be monitoring this thread to see what others say.

I second Snodgrass though there is a 2nd edition. I don't own it but it has an extra chapter if that interests you

This tenth anniversary edition includes a substantial new chapter that surveys developments in the interpretation of parables since the book’s original 2008 publication.

Others I've enjoyed:

Haven't read this but seen it mentioned a few times

Try Parables: Portraits of God’s Kingdom in Matthew, Mark, and Luke by J. Barry.

Olli, great recommendations. Would just point out that Interpreting the Parables by Blomberg has a 2nd edition:
