It would be great of Logos remembered the passage I was studying when Logos was closed so that when I reopen the app, it returns to the same place.

It does when you simply open the resource. However, if you are opening a layout you need to update the layout using the layout icon in the upper right.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

    Hi Bryan:

Additionally, while in the Layout menu, you can drag the 'Update active' command to the shortcut bar (to the right of the 'Tools' menu). This provides a quick way to save your layout before closing it and will eventually become second nature. You can right-click the shortcut and choose an appropriate icon, etc. See the Layout section in Helo for more details.

I must be missing something.  I can't drag the "Update active" link to the shortcut bar.  I can drag the whole layout to the shortcut bar, but that doesn't help.  How do I drag just the "Update active" link to the shortcut bar?  I'm using Logos 9 on a PC.

Sorry for the late follow-up, Bryan.

Also sorry for not remembering how I did this (I'll blame it on the 'rona).

In the Command/Go Box, type    Update active layout   . When the suggestions appear below, from under 'Layouts', drag 'Update active layout' to the Shortcut Bar.
