L/V 10 Tip of the Day #40 Save a layout
Another tip of the day (TOTD) series for Logos/Verbum 10. They will be short and often drawn from forum posts. Feel free to ask questions and/or suggest forum posts you'd like to see included. Adding comments about the behavior on mobile and web apps would be appreciated by your fellow forumites. A search for "L/V 10 Tip of the Day site:community.logos.com" on Google should bring the tips up as should this Reading List within the application.
This tip is inspired by the forum post: saving a new layout - Logos Forums
There are three things to remember about named (saved) layouts:
- They do not update automatically. If you wish to pick up where you left off you must save the layout.
- Only the Logos/Verbum predefined layouts for the lectionary will open to the current liturgical date; to have this feature you must modify one of these layouts rather than creating your own.
- When a layout is in use, its name will appear in the upper left of the main window.
To name and save a layout, simply enter a name in the input box.
The named layout appears in the snapshot images, in the saved layout list, and in the upper left. The option to update current become available.
To invoke the layout after it has been closed select the layouts icon (1) and click on the layout's name (2).
