L/V 10 Tip of the Day #48 Available counseling themes
Another tip of the day (TOTD) series for Logos/Verbum 10. They will be short and often drawn from forum posts. Feel free to ask questions and/or suggest forum posts you'd like to see included. Adding comments about the behavior on mobile and web apps would be appreciated by your fellow forumites. A search for "L/V 10 Tip of the Day site:community.logos.com" on Google should bring the tips up as should this Reading List within the application.
This tip is inspired by the forum post: Counseling Guide Questions - Logos Forums
I find neither a manual nor a glossary in my library for counseling theme, something we should push for. So how am I to know the possible entries?
- Graham Criddle provided a link to the ontology for counseling themes: Faithlife Counseling Themes Ontology (windows.net) This is well-hidden documentation.
- Less hidden is the ontology built into the Factbook facets but one must go to the Factbook page for the definition:
For an introduction to the use of the Guide see Counseling Guide – Logos Help Center.
For a list of the resources originally used to build the data see New in Logos 9: Counseling Guide - Logos Forums. I don't know of any comprehensive list of resources currently linked to the themes nor have I yet built a search to find all occurrences of the milestone/reference in my library.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Thanks MJ, that's very helpful.
The link provided by Graham is good but external to logos, and I have no way to know how current it is. Until there is a manual or glossary in the library this is a good work around.

For anyone interested, have created a request on feedbear for a list of counseling themes. Your votes would be appreciated!
