Another tip of the day (TOTD) series for Logos/Verbum 10. They will be short and often drawn from forum posts. Feel free to ask questions and/or suggest forum posts you'd like to see included. Adding comments about the behavior on mobile and web apps would be appreciated by your fellow forumites. This is how the selection box normally works - you enter a word(s) or partial word, it provides options:

But sometimes we make spelling or typing errors - sometimes we still get a select list, sometimes we don't:

When we correct an error that is not in the final term of the search argument (string), we still don't get the expected select list:

Andrew provides the explanation and solution:

It is a known limitation that the autocompleter only responds to changes to the final term of the search string (the quote is not part of the final term). You can force the prompt up again by putting your cursor at the end, then adding and deleting a space.
