L/V 10 Tip of the Day #73 Search result colors
Another tip of the day (TOTD) series for Logos/Verbum 10. They will be short and often drawn from forum posts. Feel free to ask questions and/or suggest forum posts you'd like to see included. Adding comments about the behavior on mobile and web apps would be appreciated by your fellow forumites. A search for "L/V 10 Tip of the Day site:community.logos.com" on Google should bring the tips up as should this Reading List within the application.
This tip is inspired by the forum post: ERROR in tagging James and John in Matt 4:23 - Logos Forums
My example query is of brothers amongst those called apostles which includes James, the brother of Jesus as well as the obvious Simon Peter/Andrew and James/John. The first example simply searches for any of the six names.
The basic rule is that each search term gets its own color. When a word is eligible for two colors, I haven't found the exact rule but the first highlight appears to be favored.
The second example looks for the pair of brothers appearing in the same verse. Again, each individual receives its own color.
I have a disagreement with FL in how the text in the red box is coded i.e., how appositive phrases are handled. This is detailed in the post that prompted this tip.
However, one can treat the pairs as single units i.e., using only 3 colors, one for each pair by introducing "term:" to the search argument.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Certain words are tagged for multiple persons, not just two e.g. "they" in Mk 1:29.
