Another tip of the day (TOTD) series for Logos/Verbum 10. They will be short and often drawn from forum posts. Feel free to ask questions and/or suggest forum posts you'd like to see included. Adding comments about the behavior on mobile and web apps would be appreciated by your fellow forumites. A search for "L/V 10 Tip of the Day site:community.logos.com" on Google should bring the tips up as should this Reading List within the application.

This tip is inspired by the forum post: BUG: Incorrect information in Help file - Logos Forums

How to access the Logos/Verbum Help file

Help cards offers Help opened to the appropriate section the first five times you use a feature. You may toggle the feature on and off, reset it, and open it manually. Not available on Verbum.

F1 opens the Help file. You must navigate the resource yourself.

Application menu (kebab) has an open Help file option as well as two other help functions.

Panel menu opens the Help file to the appropriate feature section.

Guide section bar has a question mark which will give a preview of the Help file for the guide section and will open in on click.

I doubt that this is an exhaustive list. Please remember to report missing and erroneous information. FL had let the data fall out of date; it is not easy to catch it back up.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Well, your latest post caught me by surprise.  Help cards.  Then I saw ... not in Verbum.  Well, ok.  I guess?

I have 3 additions of limited 'help'-ful value:

    - The magical 'Control-F' key (or Command-F), while not finding what you're looking for in the application Help text box.

    - The application help is actually a regular resource for which you can study and gain secret knowledge!  Very highlight-able, searchable and so forth.  And has become quite good, with illustrations.  Updated regularly.

    - Finally, the hidden popups in Program Settings (for each setting) are becoming more and more useful. Used to be circular language, leading to 'what?'

    And one totally minor gripe:

    - The application Help is not amenable to open a floating window (nor any of the others). It quickly jumps into one of my layout panels, messing everyone up. Quiet everybody!
