BUG RC-2: Cloud Books appear in Temporary Collections

"Search
- Resolved a bug that caused Cloud Resources to appear when searching user defined collections."
This has indeed been corrected, but Cloud Resources are counted in Temporary collections and appear in Search Results:
The Collection "Church Fathers" has the rule subj:Fathers. Based on the count, the Temporary collection includes 4 Cloud resources, with search results in one of them.

Just curious - there is also in Verbum a predefined collection named Church Fathers ... is there any unintended influence on your manual collection of the same name?

This is by design, and has been the case since at least v22, perhaps earlier.
Cloud resources are not really intended to be a place where you relegate resources you're less interested in. It's designed more as a means to save disk space and indexing requirements. As a result, in the search panel, we default to showing your cloud resources unless you explicitly exclude them. You can use device:"my device name" to only include downloaded resources. Or tag your cloud resources and use -mytag:"my tag name".

This was the case until yesterday. Something has gone wrong in v22. See my bug report here:

False alarm, this issue has been resolved with the help of Ronny. There was a change made in v23 that I assumed was already the case in v22 and so it felt like a change to me when it didn't work the same way. Everything is working as designed in both v22 and v23. This is what happens when I use two different versions at the same time.

No. Search seems to distinguish which one was selected as results for the predefined collection appear in resources that are not in my user collection e.g. my collection does not include the Catena Aurea commentaries.

Irrespective of the (hidden) intention, I have long used cloud resources for that purpose**. So when FL does integrate what it intends for "cloud", there needs to be a Setting so that one can treat "cloud" as in Logos 9, and that includes temporary collections and Verbum predefined collections to avoid the current confusion.
.
** mainly for testing purposes or relegating Connect monthly resources that did not interest me.

But it seems to me that "resources I can omit to save space" and "resources I am less interested in" are nearly identical subsets.

I nearly forgot the non-English language resources that FL occasionally throw our way!

Not for me. There are resources that I want to search and would have downloaded if I had a bigger hard drive. There are also resources I'm not interested in but there are too many of them to 'hide'. I want them accessible and discoverable in case there is a gem in there I hadn't discovered, or in case I'm actually trying to read perspectives I'm not normally not interested in (e.g. dispensationalism). I've already hidden the resources I never want to see. The rest I want available but mostly out of the way. When I'm able to get a newer computer with a bigger hard drive (not any time soon unfortunately) I'll download more of the good resources. But until then I basically have a three-tiered library right now that I'm managing with tags.
