Is it possible to save Logos 10 on external storage space?
Technically it might be - depending on the type of storage device and the connection to the computer.
But it is not supported by Logos who state that storage must be internal to be supported - https://support.logos.com/hc/en-us/articles/360007506971-Logos-Minimum-System-Requirements
I have ordered it today:"WD Elements Portable External Hard Drive 2 TB (Portable Storage, USB 3.0 Interface, Plug and Play, Formatted for Windows) Black"
Tes - I believe this is a HDD as opposed to SSD.
I expect you will get quite poor performance on this if you use it for Logos.
And please remember this is not officially supported by Logos
WD Elements Portable External Hard
SSD would have been better. As Graham stated, you are on your own with external drives, so make sure it is formatted NTFS for Windows.
I think this is an understatement. Logos performs poorly on an INTERNAL spinning drive; cut that performance in half or more for an external drive.
I doubt the forums will be much help, either. I'm Mac, not Windows, but it would require creating manual "aliases" to the Logos4 folder, which are likely to be broken with any and perhaps every update.
A much better idea is to move other resources (like movies or pictures) to an external drive and keep Logos where it wants to be.
But hey, I'm an early adopter and freewheeler myself, so please journal your experiences here for the benefit of all.
SSD would have been better.
Is there an external then SSD?

Sure - there are some options at https://www.crucial.com/products/ssd/portable-ssds or https://www.westerndigital.com/en-gb/products/ssd/external-ssd?filterByBrandName=WD

Thank You Graham and all of you. I could return the one I have ordered. Based on your Advice I am now able to order this one:

It is a very slim drive with USB 3.2 Gen 2 technology so make sure you have a USB type C input on your computer to guarantee a better match to USB 3.2 speed. It is meant for storage on any OS (formatted exFAT), so it is not optimized for I/O by apps like Logos. You must format it NTFS for Windows.
Hi Dave, thank you for your concern und your advice. I will get the device today. I hope the type of the input you have mentioned would be compatible. As you can see below on the picture the Hardware Platform is "Window".
That is what I assumed, but you still have to format it as NTSF else you will have problems running Logos.
A Type C connection in your computer looks like this:
Notice the oval shape, as the larger Type A connections are rectangular.
The drive will have a type C connector, and it is best to use this if your computer has the corresponding input.
