It's a trick. Get an axe!
No, it's not. I'll vouch for him! Robert is an okay guy who just wishes he had a Mac.

Donovan R. Palmer: Fred T Daniel Jr: everyone who buys today will automatically get a free download of the final release version on October 1! This is a bit confusing. Unless there has been a change to the model, everyone who has bought (including those who buy today) will get a free download to the final release version.

The reason it's confusing is that it isn't directed towards you: it's meant for all those people who are just now tuning in and don't know any better .

Mostly things like "speed" and "stability" and "things we haven't decided on (and therefore can't tell you about), yet"

Should we all pray that Robert will win the Grand Prize? Can I be that unselfish?
Jack Caviness:Should we all pray that Robert will win the Grand Prize? Can I be that unselfish?
Of course, you can, Jack. 1 Corinthians 10:13
Please something like Handout feature... :) or sermon file
The best solution would be for all of you to withdraw all your entries into the contest while you pray for the right person to win. Meanwhile, I'll be praying and making sure God knows who the right person is...
Mariano Proto:Please something like Handout feature... :) or sermon file
As we've stated unequivocally in the forums before, Handouts will not be in the initial Mac release.
According to this page, sermon file will is not scheduled for inclusion until 2011.

Awesome, awesome work Mac Devs. I have been through two Mac product cycles with you now and you continue to blow me away. I know the first product was developed in a different manner but kudos all around just the same!

From the announcement:
I’m a Windows user. Is this just for Mac users?
No. The special discounted pricing is good for both Mac and Windows users. So if you missed out on our launch specials last November or you wish you had upgraded to an even higher base package, here’s your second chance to save big! Windows users are also welcome to participate in the Ship Day Giveaway.
Hey Cameron...

You make it hard to pray that you will an iMac (See my post above). I'll have to say, "Lord, is Robert mature enough to handle a Mac? Can he really effectively use a grown-up machine?"
what if I already purchased the logos 4 for Windows with logos 4 mac option?
Chris Morgan: what if I already purchased the logos 4 for Windows with logos 4 mac option?
We need a little more information in order to answer this question.
1 Can you still enter the contest to win a new Mac? Yes.
2 Can you upgrade your purchase at a really good price? Yes.
3 Can you reverse your purchase and repurchase at the discount price? How long ago did you make your purchase? Call sales and see what they can do for you. I talk with Santiago and recommend him without reservation.
4 When you purchase L4, you purchase a license that covers both the Mac and Windows versions on as many computers as you personally use. For the purposes of this, you are your wife are considered one—which is thoroughly Biblical—for most cases (If you pastor a church and you wife teaches seminary, Logos will then consider you to be two separate users).
Chris Morgan:what if I already purchased the logos 4 for Windows with logos 4 mac option?
I don't understand this question. If you already have Logos 4, you already have Logos 4. Which engine you use (Mac, Windows, iPhone) is up to you. You can have 3 Macs and 4 PCs an iPhone, an iPad and an iPod Touch (please, don't anybody call it an iTouch) all running Logos 4 (or the Logos iOS app) under one license. The limiting factor is that the license is for one user. There's a good discussion of what the means here.
We don't even have separate SKUs in the store. When you put a Logos 4 base package in your cart on the website, you cannot specify a platform choice. This is not a mistake.
Now, if you want to upgrade the Logos 4 package you have, say, from Leader's Library to Portfolio, now seems like as good a time as any. But you don't have to upgrade if you already own a Logos 4 package.
