I think you have a bug in the "sermon editor". When you add multiple verses and you export to Powerpoint it puts all the verse on one slide. In the past it either defaulted to "one verse per slide" or it retained the setting from one slide to the next. however now you have to manually change each slide layout to "one verse per slide".

The startup of the new version (29.0) is much slower than before. Are you aware if this? Is this to be expected?

Hi John, I just checked and it looks like we have a case for this issue. We will update here once a fix is in for this bug.

I've not yet encountered this, but I will certainly take a look. Are you on Mac or Windows?

On Mac.

Not on my Mac. Please create a new thread and post logs. See my signature line.

Let me explain. Before the latest release, when I open Logos, the splash screen would appear for a second, and then my home page would start immediately. The time was so short that I can barely read the version and date on the splash screen. With the latest release, when I press the Logos icon, I count 6 seconds before the splash screen disappears and Logos would start. It is not a big problem, but noticeable longer.

I believe what you're experiencing is due to a change we made that would keep the splash screen present for slightly longer on Mac instead of immediately transitioning to the popup that indicated your library was being prepped. Though it may appear it so, the time between launching and displaying the application should not have changed as a result of this. If the time between launch and logos starting is longer, please let me know and we can take a look into it.

I can confirm this as my experience and appreciate the change.

I can confirm this as well with Windows10.
For me the startup was fine until I ran into alot of "Not Responding" errors when the program was actually running... so I then restarted and the startup was a good 30 seconds.
I restarted after that and the splash screen was only on for 7 seconds.

Thank you, Savanna. That make sense. I appreciate the feedback. All good then.

Savanna, I just reported the same slow startup here - https://community.logos.com/forums/p/219198/1276194.aspx#1276194
It's intermittent. In my case startup was very long, well over a minute.

WOW, I love that the spinning wheel is gone and on my mac it launches quicker. Great job on the splash screen - makes the app, IMHO look much better at launch.

Check the Release Notes for v30.0 and v.30.1 "now available", in this forum.
EDIT: the first is missing. So here it is https://wiki.logos.com/Logos_30.0
