I have a layout constituted of two panes separated vertically with several resources opened. Now I want to close one tab on left pane by Cmd-W. Regardles i click on tab title or click onto navigation bar, first all tabs (resources) from right pane are closed and not active one.

Any idea what to do?

As a workaround, you may be able to close the desired tab by right-clicking (or control-clicking) on the tab title of the tab you want to close.

Could you upload your layouts.db so that I can investigate?

Of course, this workaround works well. I wanted to be sure you know about this problem.

You're the first to report it, and uploading your layouts.db would greatly enhance the chances that we'll fix it by the next beta.

I've assumed there's a known issue with tab focus while closing. I've been annoyed with tab closing via Cmd-W for a while since it doesn't always seem consistent as to which tab will close.

What I'm waiting for is something to show which tab has focus. Does a visual cue already exist and I'm missing it, or will it come along later?

Generally I've observed that there is a tab focus bug, since Cmd-C is also similarly unreliable. See :

My guess is this could be similar to a highlight glitch I keep running into:

Yes, all this looks like one common issue to me.

Chris, I have the same question--how can I tell at a glance which tab has the focus? Did you ever get an answer?

Welcome Big Smile

At a glance, can look at border to know which panel has focus.  Within panel, one tab is in front.

In this Logos 4.2a SR-3 screen capture, collections panel has focus:
