I am a bible college student and we get the "bible study" edition when we start school (a super huge blessing) but I really need the Greek pronunciation audio add on. Is there a way just to buy that?
Hi Ryan, here is a link to the Greek Audio Bible you can buy and it should help you as you take your Greek classes. I'll be taking Greek in my classes next year. Peace

sweeeet. Hope this adds that little audio icon next to the word like in the training videos so you can hear just that word said and not have to play (scrub to) the whole audio book just to get ot that one word.
Have a blessed day
The pronunciation tool comes with scholars edition. But see this link. This is currently available only in L3, not Logos 4 as an addin.

This add-in is only for Logos 3 (Libronix), but the description will at least tell you what the feature is like should you decide to upgrade to Scholar's library to get it. The Greek Audio Bible will only handle reading aloud the Bible text for you (real narration; not text-to-speech computer voice). It won't put a speaker icon next to words in other places, which it sounds like is what you want.
Does anyone use the Greek Audio Bible with L4? Does it work well with L4? What advantage do you get by using this product? Does it help you learn Greek?
I have it and it works well with L4. I'm not currently studying Greek but I hope to have time to learn it someday. So I can't tell you what advantage I get from using this product. I've only played with a little bit, but I figured it would be something I'd want to own in the long run. I can see it would help me practice reading Scripture aloud in Greek and pronouncing it properly. Not that I'd really have to know how to pronounce it to study it and do translations and such, but it's nice to be able to pronounce a language you're studying.
Incidentally, the Pronunciation tool which comes with Scholar's Library and above will pronounce individual words for you, but it won't read aloud from your Greek Bible as the Greek Audio Bible will.
I have the Greek Audio NT and it works well for me in L4. It seems as though it works differently for some users than others. Check out this forum discussion:

Hi Doug, I did have some issues with it in 4.0d and earlier releases of Logos 4 in that the pointer did not follow the text. That issue appears to have been resolved in the current 4.1 beta being tested now.
Does it help me to learn greek ? YES [Y]
How? As Rosie suggest you could learn Greek without pronouncing it but it makes the learning experiences very 2 dimensional. Words and what goes into making a word, a Word and sentences, the way in which we arrange those words in a meaningful way to communicate and idea or concept with another person. However being able to 'speak' a language brings a powerful third dimension to the experience. With an agreed upon pronunciation scheme you are now able to communicate with another person on a different level when you can 'speak' the language. Even learning in isolation though being able to pronounce the language can bring a great sense of achievement and subsequent motivation to continue in your efforts. Its nice to be able to read (recognise the text) and write it, then its the butter on the bread, that turns what can be a dry experience into one which has you wanting to come back for more, its the icing on the cake.
