I'd especially like to see the outstanding and award-winning biography of Jonathan Edwards by historian George M. Marsden. But I'd also love to see a George Marsden collection, containing at least these other works of his too.

  • Jonathan Edwards: A Life (Yale University Press, 2004)
  • Understanding Fundamentalism and Evangelicalism (Eerdmans, 1991)
  • Reforming Fundamentalism: Fuller Seminary and the New Evangelicalism (Eerdmans, 1995)
  • The Soul of the American University: From Protestant Establishment to Established Nonbelief (Oxford University Press, 1996)
  • The Outrageous Idea of Christian Scholarship (Oxford University Press, 1998)
  • Religion and American Culture (Wadsworth Publishing, 2000)
  • Fundamentalism and American Culture (Oxford University Press, 2006)

Please hurry! Especially with the biography of Jonathan Edwards, now that you're bringing out the collection of Edwards's works from Yale U Press. Amazon.com has it in Kindle format already:  http://amzn.com/0300105967

Bump! Historian George Marsden's works represent a huge hole in Logos's catalogue. Another two years have gone by since I started this thread. In the interim, only one pre-pub by him has been added so far.

In addition to my list above of his most important works, add these too, particularly the first one (recently published):

The Twilight of the American Enlightenment: The 1950s and the Crisis of Liberal Belief

    Militant Christians

The Evangelical Mind and the New School Presbyterian Experience: A Case Study of Thought and Theology in Nineteenth-Century America

    The Secularization of the Academy

Will Marsden's "Jonathan Edwards: A Life" ever be in Logos?
