I used to use PC Study Bible that included tools that allowed users to author their own resources. If I understand correctly, the resources for Logos are xml files so it seems to me that authoring my own resources that I can cross reference and index is not too far removed from this idea.

What would it take to publish tools that would allow me to author my own content for Logos?

That's a feature that's coming soon to Logos 4!  It's called the Personal Book Builder and due out sometime in 2011.

This was available in Logos 3, but it just hasn't made its way over to Logos 4 yet.

Other Logos users, over the years, have made their own electronic files of books in the public domain that were compatible with Logos 3. I imagine once the feature comes out in Logos 4 they will work there too. You can find out more about this at the link below, along with a list of books available to download.

Hi Boyd.

Just to clarify - since Greg posted in November 2010, the Personal Book capability has been made available in Logos 4.

It takes books created in .docx format and converts them into Logos resources

Details of the required syntax and how to use the tool can be found at http://wiki.logos.com/Personal_Books

Hope this helps
