I was just watching this video on custom guides on the Mac version and I noticed when the user performed the guide search that he created, under the "Word by Word" section beside each of the greek words there is an icon to play an audio pronouncement of the word.  What plug-in allows this?  When I search the Logos website for Greek audio plug-ins, I get two results of what I am looking for (see results below), but they are not for the Mac.  Yet, there appears to be one as the video shows.

  • Greek Pronunciation Addin with Erasmian & Modern Data Sets - but it states, "NOTE: This addin is currently available only for Libronix 3.0 on the Windows platform."
  • Greek Audio New Testament - but it states, "NOTE: The Greek Audio New Testament is currently available only for Windows users. If you purchase the download, you will need to install the Greek Audio NT AutoUpdate to complete the installation of the Greek Audio New Testament."

It's in the base packages, if you have Scholar's or above. Look at the last section of the comparison chart: http://www.logos.com/comparison. And, yes, it works on Mac.

(I suspect that it's the same as your first search result, and that they've simply forgotten to update the page, but I can't confirm that.)

I would also agree that the note is out of date.  I use it on my mac (Greek Audio New Testament via my base package)

Cool  beans.  I just downloaded the "Greek Pronunciation Addin with Erasmian & Modern Data Sets", installed it, and it works great.

Thanks for the information.  Exactly what I was looking for.  Some words give me problems, so it is always nice to hear someone else pronounce the word for me.

That, on the other hand, I do not believe. Wink The Greek Audio NT is another resource, that's not in the base packages. If you have it, you've bought it separately. It does work on Mac nowadays, though. See this thread: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/24383.aspx. (Which explains why I happen to know this...)

(I'll write a note on the website forum and ask them to update those pages.)

  • Your first search indeed points to the pronunciation add-in.

  • The Greek Audio New Testament does indeed work in Logos 4 Mac. I don't think that it's part of a base package. I purchased it for Libronix when it first came out. As regards using it in Logos 4 Mac: at first it didn't work at all. Then for quite a while it worked in a very limited way. Now it has almost full functionality compared to Libronix, though I haven't managed to find a way to alter the speed of narration as I can in Libronix. It is accessed via the pane drop-down:

  • The Greek Audio New Testament page has obviously not yet been updated, because I can use it on my iMac.

ok my fault I was confused as to which audio I had.  Mine just speaks the words if you were to do a word study.  FGH and Alan are correct
