There doesn't appear to be any discount on the Zondervan collections that were recently shipped on the PrePub program. I'm aware that in the past, Zondervan PrePubs didn't attract a discount, but I naively assumed that the savings indicated on the PrePub pages would apply this time. If I'd had known that there would be no discount, I'd probably have delayed purchasing the Zondervan books and have purchased other resources instead.

The blog entry for the Zondervan Bible Reference Collection 2 seems to be misleading when it states that:

"we’ve worked out a special arrangement with Zondervan to offer this bundle at a discount while it’s on Pre-Pub"

"But remember, this price goes away next week when this Pre-Pub ships. You need to pre-order today to get the discount!"

According to the "Last Chance" email that I received the PrePub price was $899.95, which is the same price that you can purchase it for now. Is this correct or have I made a mistake?

I've made a plea in the past for there to be a clear indication of the discount that you can expect when purchasing on PrePub. I would like to reiterate that plea.

I kind of assumed that the price would not change, or if if did, not by very much, because the Pre-pub price was not far off from the "Retail Price." So I therefore decided to hold off, since I didn't detect much of an incentive to get it on pre-pub. I figure this particluar pricing characteristic largely has to do with it being a Zondervan set.

On the one hand, it would be good for other users if the price remained at $899.95. On the other hand it's not fair on those of us who bought on pre-pub thinking we're getting a discounted price, when we could perhaps have waited or used a payment plan. So I hope it is a mistake. I fully support your plea. We need information like that to make informed purchase decisions.
