Hebrew Morphological Searches not working

For the last two days I have been trying to figure out how to do morphological searches in Hebrew. I haven't even tried the Greek yet. I'm really frustrated. It took me 5 mins to learn how to do this with BibleWorks.
I've looked at the Wiki site, and the logos blog site, and floated around the forum and still couldn't find anything to help me.
This is what I've tried:
1. Select Search button in top left corner.
2. I've selected the Morph button in my search window.
3. Then, I selected these combinations below and none of them worked:
- All Morph Text, All Passages, All Resources, Westminster Hebrew Morphology
Then typed: lemma: hebrew: אמר@vqp3ms
Of course I had to type it though because when I would click the buttons that appeared, they wouldn't affect my text.
i.e. When I clicked "Verb" it would not type the v for me. Or when I hit qal, it wouldn't type q for me.
- All Morph Text, All Passages, AFAT, AFAT Hebrew
Once again, the grammar buttons wouldn't work, so I had to type out something myself.
- All Morph Text, All Passages, BHS, BHS Hebrew
Yeah, had to type again.
Anyone know why this isn't working? Why I'm not getting any results? Why my buttons aren't working?

Initially copied and pasted - found nothing - changed search to lemma:אמר@vqp3ms (no space after colon and deleted hebrew:) - found lots of verses.
By the way, Mac Beta forum includes a known Hebrew Morph search display issue => http://community.logos.com/forums/t/29780.aspx

Another thought - wonder if indexing complete ? If indexing not done, expect 0 results.

Search works in Logos 4.2a Beta 6 on PC and Logos 4.0b SR-4 on Mac (1.30 sec search took minutes to display)

Concur about typing morphological codes (did highlight) - mouse click and keyboard arrow/return keys not work to visibly generate codes.

Thank you so much! I'm sorry for letting my frustration getting the best of me. I appreciate your smiles by the way! They remind me of the greater importance at hand. I see you said it took minutes to display for you. Is there any reason that you know of why the search happens so quickly and yet takes me up to 30 seconds to display those results?
And, is there a way to see if my indexing was completed and what to do to complete it?
Thanks for your love,
Joshua

Suspect rendering Hebrew search results needs optimization improvement (vowel point alignment could be part of rendering speed slowness). Verses format has Hebrew and English side-by-side, while aligned is Hebrew only (appears bit faster than verses):
Also verified current Logos 4.2a Beta 6 needs morph codes to be typed, added reply to forum http://community.logos.com/forums/p/28563/220766.aspx

One cause for search returning nothing is indexing not complete. Basic search of entire library for "the" can be compared with other forum posters => http://community.logos.com/forums/t/5778.aspx

I am a new academic user. I have also experienced some difficulties getting intelligible Hebrew morphological searches. As far as I can tell, all downloads and all indexing was completed. I am running on a Mac Book, core 2 duo, Intel, OS 10.5.8, only one GB of ram.
I have learned how to do the morphological searching, using BHS/WIVU for searching and database, clicking on Morph, all passages. Since the way I work, I like to look at the LXX and an English Bible, I have them open in parallel panes in my search window. The "book" window (? what I call a context window) is also open next to the search window. It is also displaying BHS/WIVU.
What I have discovered is *some* searches go off without a hitch, for example "zohar" (shining) in Hebrew, in a morphological search, returns (accurately) two hits, in Ezra and Daniel. If I try to search the morphological root, z h r in Hebrew, I get 0 results, even though two verbs show up in the prompt box, zhr 1 and zhr 2. On the other hand, I have had no difficulty getting *many* hits if I search, say, for root b n h in Hebrew. I get hundreds. If I search for root dbr in Hebrew, I get one result (!!There should be hundreds). First question: Why do I get weird, or unpredictable results, and sometimes no results?
Second question. SBL Hebrew font has *never* (for 10 years) displayed correctly on my computers--vowels are always misplaced. I have tried to alter the Hebrew font in the settings to EZRA SIL, I think it is, where it was changed in my context window, but not my search window. Why? Can I fix this?
Third question. Can I change the "hit" color in the search window from orange to red? It is too light for my old eyes.
I have more questions, but this will do for now.

Looking at Logos 4 Mac system requirements => http://www.logos.com/mac/support/systemrequirements 2 GB is the minimum RAM, with 4 GB recommended.
If was shopping for a newer Mac, would look at refurbished (especially 2011 models) => http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/specialdeals/mac that have 4 GB or more RAM with 2nd Generation Intel i5 or i7. Apple refurbished Mac's have same warranty as new; prices tend to drop when models are refreshed. Buyer's Guide => http://buyersguide.macrumors.com/ (been awhile since Apple has refreshed any models; reading rumors about iPad 3 next month)
Wiki has Getting Started with Logos => Search with Tips and many links.

Appears h:dbr has a number of homographs:
Note: homograph 3 (destroy) has one search result while homograph 6 (pasture) has two results, but homograph 5 (word) has 1,443 results in AFAT.
Dr. Mark Shipp said:First question: Why do I get weird, or unpredictable results, and sometimes no results?
Thread => HEBREW MORPH SEARCH BUG: choosing a lemma from the suggested list has examples showing different BHS versions have variant lemma tagging. Another thread shows same lemma in 3 Logos resources => Word Study Feature Logos Lookup: Hebrew lemma for Worship English reverse interlinear Bibles have AFAT
Logos User Voice suggestion => Stem/Cognate Search
Using Anderson-Forbes Hebrew Morphology (in Logos 4.5a RC 1), personally learned h:zhr has 3 homographs:
In Morph Search Analysis, noticed LHI often includes other lemmas in same Hebrew word while AV 1873, KJV, and NRSV sometimes include other lemmas with the 24 results for h:zhr homographs.

Would like to see a screenshot with vowel (mis) placement annotated. Also wondering about Logos 4 Mac version ? Logos 4.5 has many Font Sliders, which can be used to increase text size.

Apologies: not know how to change search result color. Option is making a visual filter from a search, then can choose how to highlight results in various resources.

By the way, this thread is over a year old; could have started a new thread. Depends on question relationships, whether one or more threads is appropriate.
