This is a pretty technical question. But in what language is the search tools in Logos based. And are we able to use the base language in the search field or only the keywords that Logos has created?

I want to do some very complicated searches and  I am hoping knowing the base language would give me some more flexibility in searches. I would like to use a Regex function.

I have the links that help with the searching I am really only looking for the way in which the search tool is implemented programmaticly.

Unfortunately RegEx is not supported (it was partially supported in L3, but never really worked well). There's also no way to construct a query in any other database language such as SQL, either. So that means you're 'stuck' with the search methods detailed here: (unless you're syntax searching).

<edit>Sorry, I should have clarified. When I mean "not supported" I mean you can get support for the feature, not that the feature doesn't exist. I also mean it's not documented (unlike in L3). Here's a thread that will help:</edit>

I kind of thought that might be the case. I guess it means make the query as close as i can and than look through the result for the other requirements.
