I have been tried  to do something and I am not sure if it can be done on Logos 4. One of the things I used to do on Logos 3 is put book marks up at the top tool bar, 1-9. I would often assign the first book mark to the beginning of my text (bookmark 1), then hit page down, and assign that spot to bookmark 2, etc. until I had filled up my bookmarks with progressive movements through the text, one page at a time. This way, when I am studying, I can click the book mark and it goes to the beginning, middle, or end of the text. When I needed to study a different passage, I would use Ctrl/Shift/ and the # to reassign the bookmarks to a different progression through the text.

I open favorites, and drag  bookmarks 1-9 (Ctrl/Shift/#)  to the top tool bar. Then I change their appearance so they don’t all have the standard NASB blue symbol but are numbered 1-9. They then look like this (1-9):

Each bookmark, when I click on it, number takes me a little bit further through the text. Sometimes I might assign a bookmark to a particular cross reference so I can get to it easily later.

This is my question. When I reassign my bookmarks to progress through a different stretch of text, the bookmarks that I have dragged to the top bar do not change. I have to delete the ones I have on the tool bar, re-drag the next set from bookmarks to the tool bar, change their appearance again to numbers, and do this over and over again. Am I missing something, or does Logos 4 not have the ability to reassign book marks on that top bar? Maybe you could fix this!? Logos 3 had the ability to reassign any book mark as those that appeared on the tool bar could be reassigned with a simple Ctrl/shift/#. I hope you can fix this in Logos 4. That way once you put your bookmark buttons up on the tool bar, you can reassign them easily without having to open Favorites, drag new book marks, etc.

Jack, this is a clever trick worthy of being added to the wiki's tips page.

Peace, Jack!

Yes, indeed!                        Quite an excellent idea.     Very worthy of note!                         *smile*
