I've been notified on my computer that I have a new Logos program to download but it requests my computer password in order for me to download this file. I'm doing the beta thing. I do not want to give the password to my computer but I want the new download. Have any of you had this problem and what did you do?
Susan
It sounds to me as if you are only being asked to authorise the changes needed to your computer to download the file.
I don't think that you need worry about putting in your password.
If you still are concerned then post a screen shot of the box and we can confirm it for you.
+Ctl + 4 will give you a target that you can drag across the screen to save a screen shot on your desktop - use the paper clip to post it in a reply.

How to get logs and post them. (now tagging post-apocalyptic fiction as current affairs)

Option: download current stable release => http://www.logos.com/logos4mac (about 75 MB) - currently stable 4.2a SR-1 is most recent Logos 4 Mac release (looking forward to another Beta cycle soon).
If open, then close Logos + check that blue logos icon not in menu bar
Drag Logos Bible Software 4 (from downloaded disk image) to Applications folder (replace previous version) - if asked for password, enter it. Mac OS X can ask for password when installing software (needs elevated permission to complete installation).
Launch Logos Bible Software 4
If want future Logos 4 Mac Beta versions, use command set update channel to beta
Wiki page has Beta program information and risks => http://wiki.logos.com/The_Logos_4_Beta_Program
Mac Beta has its own forum => http://community.logos.com/forums/90.aspx - includes a 4.2a SR-1 discussion about repeatable Bible Word Study crash - anticipating 4.2a SR-2 release soon to fix repeatable crash issue.
