I have four young people, 20-early 30s who have recently come to our church. They are very new to the faith. Does anyone have a good discipleship course recommendation to go with? I did the Navigator's 2:7 Series before and liked it. Does anyone have something else? It does not necessarily need to be in Logos format, though the right thing in Logos format is a good bonus.
try one of the historical catechisms as they answer major questions on the faith. Westminster begins with God. heidelberg begins with our condition and is structured (Law/Grace/Gratitude then goes into the Apostles Creed and the parts of the Lord's Prayer along with the Ten Commandments). Add one of the confessions and they'll get a lot of doctrine to ground their foundation.

Philip: Check out www.monvee.com. I think it is totally geared toward that crowd. Customizable. Online assessment, etc.
Something else I have used: Discipleship Essentials, Greg Ogden. about 24 studies arranged sequentially from topics like "Being a Disciple" to theology like "Justification" to practical things like "Serving" and Spiritual disciplines. It is an outgrowth of his philosophy he writes about in "Transforming Discipleship" Groups of 3-4 who go at their pace through the studies (each study hits the topic from 4 different angles) with the goal for each to take on 2-3 more when they are done. Ogden writes from a more Reformed tradition.
Alpha sounds like a good church course, but I have never used it.
I like Apples. Especially Honeycrisp.
Philip Spitzer: though the right thing in Logos format is a good bonus.
Richard Foster comes to my mind. And he should be in Logos. I'm familiar with the Alpha program which works fine in the right circumstances but may be to "primitive" depending on where they are in their faith journey.
Orthodox Bishop Hilarion Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."
Dan DeVilder:Something else I have used: Discipleship Essentials, Greg Ogden.
I like the sound of this course from what I have looked at. I think I might go with it. We might butt heads on some reformed topics but I would hate to isolate anyone I disciple from the reality that others believe things slightly different.
Philip,
I've got a few individuals I'm discipling as well. One I'm walking through Boice's Systematic Theology (Foundations of the Christian Faith - Logos Bible Software http://www.logos.com/product/2946/foundations-of-the-christian-faith )
Another I'm using Sproul (Essential Truths of the Christian Faith - Logos Bible Software http://www.logos.com/product/182/essential-truths-of-the-christian-faith)
If they were much younger in the faith I've got some of my own jumping off documents I've developed which cover basic questions like, "how to pray" "How to use a bible" (index, footnotes etc.) and so forth.
Otherwise there are some great materials suggested here.
Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.
This is an old post, but I was looking for similar material, hoping for an update on some new material that is now available in logos, or not..

I just go One-On-One going through Chan's new book, "Multiply." It is an awesome book. Reinforces the whole idea of Discipleship is to in turn disciple. All of Chan's stuff is awesome and provoking.
Bump.. any other suggestions?

Yes, although I have not finished reading the book. The book is good for understanding what it means to be a disciple of Christ.
has anyone been through Pentecost's book design for discipleship?

Update for those looking for similar material:
I found a collection of 3 books, super cheap through logos, they are designed like a study course. I am not familiar with the author, but the material setup of the material seems to be in a good format
