Yup, I already have my favorite songs and bunch of sermons and audiobooks loaded and am listening now. You get 20 GB for when you buy at least one album from amazon mp3. It let me free up a ton of space from my netbook by deleting my mp3s off of there.

They indicate they'll store songs you buy through Amazon, but I can't tell whether this counts against the free 5GB of space.  Would have been nice if they could have somehow matched up all the songs I've bought from them and put it in there for me.  Anyway, will definitely have to check this out.

I notice it specifically refers to MP3 purchases being uploaded.  Nothing about MP3 rips from my own library of CD's.  (not to mention from my old cassettes (cassette → wav  → mp3)

Hmm Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.

Anything can be uploaded. Any mp3s can be played in the player on your android or your web browser.

My migration to the cloud is almost complete as my top 3 computer-based activities can now be cloud-based:

  1. Logos
  2. Google Docs
  3. Amazon clouddrive
And then there's always Logmein to remotely access anything else from my pc that's not cloud-basd

Since receiving a Google Chromputer (CR-48) I've been doing online more and more - however I'm not sure how you're making Logos cloud based unless you mean Biblia?

With web connectivity, I prefer to utilize wireless Network Attached Storage and rip all my music. Where else am I going to get my pastor's sermons, my uncle's sax recordings, and my 1200 classic albums  (Not all of Burl Ive's stuff is out in digital yet.)

I've uploaded AAC's purchased via iTunes and they play fine. Note that it needs to be DRM free files, which I think is pretty much exclusively what iTunes sells now. So upload anything, and if the audio files are DRM free, they should play.

I uploaded my stuff; MP3's so far and had no issues.

I also bought an album so I got the 20gb upgrade for free.

FYI:

"Unless you set your account to auto-renew to a paid plan, the 20 GB plan will revert to a free plan one year from the date of your MP3 album purchase."

That is indeed good to know. What a way to rope people into something they don't want to give up. I guess if your faced with losing 20 gigs you've become dependent on you'll pony up the $20. I was going to buy an album to get the 20 gigs. Now I will not. If I really want it down the road, I'll buy an album in place of my 1st years payment.
